  Skin tightening
The skin tightening treatment offered at Medical Laser Clinic is a new treatment, recognized for effective collagen stimulation. It utilizes infrared light to heat the water within the dermis to the point of collagen contraction. The collagen fibers not only tighten immediately, but are reinforced over time which means the improvement usually continues for 3 to 6 months after treatment! The treatment works on the principle of Volumetric bulk dermal heating (Elevating skin tissue temperature stimulates local circulation, in turn, stimulating collagen growth or skin tightening). Our method is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment which leaves the skin intact.
The Procedure
A layer of clear ultrasound gel is applied to the skin. The laser is applied to the skin section by section, and using multiple passes. The number of passes will vary depending on patient feedback and epidermal response. The treatment takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on the area treated.
What does the treatment feel like? What to expect after a skin tightening treatment
With every pulse you will feel a rise in heat. The treatment should feel borderline uncomfortable. Mild erythema and swelling is normal. This will subside shortly after the treatment. Since the skin tightening is a non-invasive treatment and attracts only the water in the deeper dermis, there is no real aftercare or concerns post treatment, unlike other laser skin treatments which are effected by sun exposure. Skin tightening may be performed all year round.
Patients with facial and neck and jowline laxity are excellent candidates for this skin tightening procedure using infrared. Best tightening results are seen in patients with thinner skin that is mobile in response to gentle touch.Patients interested in body shaping, cellulite reduction, should be treated with Radiofrequency technology.
Depending on your skin condition, 5-7 treatments are required for best results spaced at 1-2 weeks apart. Maintenance is neede after that, every 6-8- weeks.

  Body contouring and anti-cellulite treatment
This treatment offered at Medical Laser Clinic is a new recognized treatment for its effectiveness as anti-cellulite and body shaping/contouring. It utilizes multipolar radio frequency energy to heat the fat cells under your skinand they will break down. Elevating skin tissue temperature stimulates local circulation, which will help move the fat deposits.Skin temperature has to be kept at minimum of 40 deg. Celsius for at least 20 min. Our method is a non-invasive which leaves the skin intact.
The Procedure
A layer of clear glycerine is applied to the skin. The RF hand pieces are applied to the skin area, and using multiple passes. The number of passes will vary depending on patient feedback and epidermal response. The treatment takes arround 30 minutes for 1 area (neck, lower face, abdomen, love handles, buttocks, uppper arm, thigh).Several areas can be treated during 1 session.
What does the treatment feel like? What to expect after the treatment
With every pulse you will feel a rise in heat. The treatment should not feel uncomfortable. Mild erythema and swelling is normal. There is no real aftercare or concerns about sun exposure. Body contouring and anti-cellulite treatment may be performed all year round.
Patients are encouraged to keep a good level of physical activty and to avoid food indiscretions. A decrease in your calory intake or increase in the calory usage will improve the results. It is not only about loosing weight, but also about muscle tonicity.
Depending on your skin condition, 8-10 treatments are required for best results, spaced 1-2 week apart, with a minimum of 6 treatments in order to see noticeable results. Maintenance treatments are offered after that, every 6 month.

  Tattoo and permanent make-up removal
Tattoo and make-up removal are performed with a Q-switch ND :YAG laser, of 1064 and 532 nm wavelenght. Professional tattoos, on average, require eight to fifteen or more treatments, while amateur tattoos require four or more sessions due to the different composition of inks. Treatments are spaced approximately six to eight weeks apart.
Recovery from a session is fairly quick. The treated area will be dressed with antibacterial ointment immediately following the procedure and the area should be kept clean to reduce the risk of infection. Pinpoint bleeding in the treated area may occasionally occur. Any scabs that form should not be picked or scratched.
In certain cases, a test spot is done to evaluate the reaction of the skin, the color change, at no cost for the patient.
How is laser tattoo removal performed?
A doctor, or assistant, will cleanse the area on and around the tattoo to remove oils on the skin. During the procedure you'll feel intense emissions of light penetrate the tattooed area.
How long does the procedure take?
Laser treatments take from ten to twenty minutes. Several treatments are needed to achieve the desired results -- the number will vary depending on the depth and color of the tattoo, but eight to twelve treatments for one tattoo are not uncommon.
What can I expect after tattoo removal?
The area may be red, as if mildly sunburned, for several days, not more than 2 weeks. There may be some bruising, and with deeper tattoos light bleeding can happen. The area may be treated with an antibiotic ointment and a bandage applied.
Recovery times depend on the extent of the treatment and the individual's capacity to heal. Redness and sensitivity may continue for several weeks, and there may be discoloration and a change in skin texture in the area, which will gradually improve. You should avoid exposing the treated area to the sun, as this may retard healing. You may not notice significant results until several treatments have been completed.
In general, who are the best candidates for laser removal of tattoos?
• Are physically healthy
• Are psychologically stable
• Do not smoke
• Want to change their appearance
• Are willing to commit a substantial amount of time to the process
• Do not have fluorescent colors in their tattoo
• Do not have unusual scar formations, such as keloids, or scars in the tattooed area
• Do not have connective tissue disorders, such as lupus
• Are not taking Accutane, nor have taken it for the previous 18 months
• Have not had other cosmetic surgery in the tattooed area
• Are well informed about the procedure
• Hold realistic expectations about the outcome
The above is only a partial list of the criteria that your doctor will consider in determining whether or not this procedure is appropriate for you.
What are the Risks and limitations?
With modern lasers, extensive scarring is quite rare, although some changes in skin texture and color are common. The area treated by the laser may become hardened or rough, and the skin may become lighter or darker than the surrounding skin. Eventual scars are further treated with different lasers, at distance from the tattoo removal. Further treatment with local peels can be recommended and needed.
Prices for treatment vary in function of size of tattoo, color, type.
  Skin fractional laser resurfacing
Of all the methods which can reverse the signs of aging, there is no better treatment than fractional laser skin resurfacing. This latest laser treatment is far more effective than any cream, lotion or potion currently available. The laser fractional therapy is also more superior than any of the other procedures like dermabrasion, chemical peeling and drug therapy. The most important is that it has almost no downtime, compared to the classic laser resurfacing methods.
Medical Laser Clinic uses the Fractional 2790 nm Er:YAG laser for fractional resurfacing as well as Ablative 2790 nm Er:YAG laser for ablative resurfacing.
Fractional skin resurfacing has revolutionized skin care and is used to treat a number of skin conditions including:
- wrinkles - fines lines - sun damaged skin - skin discolorations – melasma - acne scars - surgical or traumatic scars - improve the skin texture - smoother the skin surface - increase the skin elasticity
The laser can be applied on most parts of the body including: - the face - around the nose and eye brows – neck - back of the hands – chest - back
Unlike other resurfacing or chemical peels that require significant downtime, this latest treatment will leave your face looking smoother, younger and more attractive than ever.
The essence of fractional laser therapy is that only selected areas of the damaged skin are treated. The treated skin area rapidly recovers with newer skin and healthy tissue. When therapy is done in fractions, this allows the skin to recover faster with little downtime. Further the side effects with this type of therapy are less and complications are very rare. In most cases, the old damaged skin is replaced by the new skin within a few days.
Because fractional laser therapy only treats part of the skin, additional therapy sessions are required to treat the entire skin surface. Most individuals require anywhere from 3-6 sessions to treat the damaged skin, at interval of 2-4 weeks between each session. The results of fractional laser skin resurfacing are not immediate but evidence of a smoother and tighter skin will be evident after 2 -3 sessions. The final cosmetic benefits of this therapy are seen after 8-12 weeks.
How long does the procedure take?
About 30-45 minutes, for the whole face, several passes(1-3) are done during a session. If numbing cream is needed, than you should add 20-30 minutes.
What are the Risks and limitations?
Side effects: some redness, bruising or swelling, make up can be applied immediately after the procedure, ideally after 12 hours. No anesthetic needed minimal discomfort. Risks: Minimal risk of permanent hyper- or hypopigmentation. Recovery time: Most patients will be able to return to work immediately following this type of procedure.
Prices for treatment vary in function of the area treated and the package purchased.
  Sublative Skin rejuvenation
Several laser-based ablative resurfacing and nonablative rejuvenation technologies offer non-surgical options for improving the appearance of the skin. Although efficacy and good safety profiles have been demonstrated, limitations do exist with these systems.
The Procedure
Unlike fractional ablative laser treatments, which can disrupt 10-70% of the epidermis and most of the effect is in the epidermis, the sublative rejuvenation technique impacts only up to 5% of the epidermis and most of the effect is in the dermis. As a result, healing is rapid and downtime is minimal. The treatment is appropriate for all skin types and is an effective alternative for patients with darker skin who may be at risk for hyperpigmentation from laser treatments.
This treatment is used for patients with mild-to-moderate tone or texture irregularities such as wrinkles, rhytides, acne scars and other tone or texture irregularities. Sublative rejuvenation causes limited epidermal disruption--less than 5% of the surface is treated with one pass--which translates to minimal downtime for patients and makes it an optimal choice for darker skin. The bulk of the effect is coagulative and occurs mainly in the mid-dermis, where it has the most effect on wrinkles and scars. In general, applying thermal energy to the skin activates a cascade of physiological healing responses to promote re-epithelization and remodeling of the extra cellular matrix (ECM). With the sublative rejuvenation modality, the major impact occurs with the ECM, while epidermal response is minimized.
What is the downtime of the procedure?
A key advantage of the treatment is the minimal downtime. Patients will usually exhibit some erythema and edema for a few to several hours immediately following the procedure. The superficial ablation points, mirroring the electrode pattern, heal within the first one to three days. Patients may experience some roughness as the tiny scabs develop, but they can usually wear makeup within a day of the procedure. No special post-procedure care is required. As with all patients, the use of sunscreen is recommended.
An effective treatment protocol for moderate to severe wrinkles or acne scars involves five to six monthly treatments. The treatments can typically be completed in 15-20 minutes.
